The Boogaloo Highgate 26th Sept. 2007 Absolutely stunning gig. Shame it was a short set, but QUALITY! I don't think Golden Rule could be done any better.

Excellent gig at the Birmingham Academy 2 the other week (even though you only got about half an hour). Hope to see you back here soon in your own right for a full gig!!

As a Marc Almond fan of over a quarter of a century I have seen many support acts. Usually the crowd are polite and patronising to support acts but tonight they had to pay attention to Lee. Maybe it was his acidic sense of humour or was it his frequent use of four letter words as he chatted to the crowd? As soon as Lee launched into his own compositions he had us hooked as Build Me Up had us swaying. As Lee introduced ''Shoes'' we all became conscious of our own fotwear (I changed mine for the following gig in Liverpool) and recognised the prat being sang about. A definite sing-a-long tune for the crowd which I can't ever remember any support artist achieving. As Lee revealed his vulnerability, not to mention his lyrical genius, as he belted out ''Meet Me Half Way'' I, and the audience, realised we had discovered a Northern gem. I am shocked that I have not discovered Lee before today as he hails from three miles away. Loved the concert in this shit-hole of a venue and look forward to seeing you again in Liverpool. I hope your mum liked the vide Lee.

This lad is absoloutely amazing and i do not use this term lightly, i expected nothing so much so that i was stood at the bar paying the support act as much respect as they usually deserve-none. The four peice swaggered on stage and lee was total presence from the moment he hit the stage he had that 'thing' -charisma- presence i listened and the manchester accent fooled me into thinking this was going to be an ian brown-esqe affair until the man opened his mouth to sing......JESUS!..in all the years of watching bands i have NEVER, been as stunned as i was with this lad and his incredibly tight band. They moved in and out of styles and tempos with the ease of musicians who really are on top of thier game. From blues-funk screamers to heart-stopping ballads such as 'meet me half way' -(a stunningly beautiful song which reduced me to near tears)...they are stand-out certified one off's and i for one am now a fan for life.

A truly great set at the Tom Robinson gig in London on 6 January - hearing you live was astonishing; what a voice. Where d'you get those wonderful songs from? 'Meet me Halfway' and 'Back on My Feet' are up there with the best. Truly inspiring stuff. I'm glad you are who you are; even if it hurts as much as you make out. More London gigs required.
